Lauron Technologies releases the LT-PCI-SSD, a 256GB solid state disk adapter, which uses on-board flash memory. The 64 bit PCI adapter targets embedded and server applications where conventional rotating media is undesirable. PCI transfers sustain 533 MB/Sec while the media will sustain 205 MB/Sec for reads and 163 MB/Sec for writes. The device is bootable in both Windows and Linux environments and include device drivers for both.
